Lorna Wildon, born and raised in East Lansing, Michigan, has been painting since childhood.
After graduating in Fine Arts from the University of Massachusetts,
she returned to Michigan State University for a Master’s Degree in Theatre.
As a singer and actress she has preformed in Michigan and the
East, including appearances with the Detroit Civic Theatre as Anna
in the King and I and Maria in The Sound of Music.
She spent 31 years as a teacher and drama Director at Royal
Oak Kimball High School, where she designed and directed
the plays and musicals.
Now retired, she has time to devote to her first love, painting.
After working in oils for many years, she now prefers the
freshness and spontaneity of watercolor. She has participated
in solo exhibitions and juried art shows.
Awards include 3 Best of Show and Artist of the year from the
South Oakland Art Association.
She is currently the President of the Royal Oak Arts Council and
